It was brilliant to work with Ashley Ward and Dawn Ward at the Creme Da la Creme Ball. Ashley is a real gentleman. I used to watch Ashley play for Barnsley FC as a teenager. He was a skilful target man who had a tremendous work ethic. He was eventually sold to Blackburn Rovers for 4.5 million in 1998/1999. It was nice to be asked by Ashley to come and create a live painting at his event at his house in aid of a great charity called the Caudwell Children. A link to their website can be found here https://www.caudwellchildren.com
They do fantastic work for Children of all ages. This particular painting that you can see in the background is titled “Remember The Twenty Two” and was a tribute to all the people that sadly lost their lives in the Manchester bombings last year. I was honoured to create the piece in just over 3 hours. The balloons in the picture represent each person that sadly lost their life. The painting was auctioned off on the evening to help raise money for Caudwell Children
