It’s good to be back! After 18 months away from live painting at an event – and coming hot off the back of my Live Team GB Medal Mural – it’s been awesome to be back on a stage, painting in front of a live audience again. And kicking back off with not one, but two, charity events.
The first event I created a piece at, was the Young Lives Vs. Cancer ‘A Very British Affair’, at Claridges in London. The painting, ‘London Fauves’ is a London Skyline piece and was completed live at the event, in approximately 4 hours.
This painting went on to be auctioned off for an excellent £20,000, at the end of the night, raising much needed funds for such an incredible cause. A world class venue, a world class event, a world class audience and an absolute pleasure to be involved with.
The second event I painted at, was the KidsOut ‘London Question of Sport’. Staged at the Lancaster Hotel, London, I created a special skyline piece live on a bottom lit stage and in front of a packed audience. This piece connected the London and Tokyo skylines, celebrating my connection with Team GB and a final nod to a wonderful summer of Olympic sport. Another fantastic event and a very memorable one for me.
It was great to reconnect with friend – and first class auctioneer – Jonny Gould, and rather fitting that he should be the one to operate the gavel for the evening. The reason this one was extra special was because, the auction sale of this piece, pushed my charity fundraising total to over £1,000,000! Absolutely incredible. Big thanks to everyone that’s been along to any of the incredible events that I’ve worked over the years, and bought a piece. Here’s to the next mil!
