What a gentleman Joe Choong is!
Joe dropped into the studio earlier this week to pick up his painting, celebrating his gold medal victory in the modern pentathlon in Tokyo. It was a delight to meet his family as well, absolutely lovely people and – quite rightly – pleased as punch for his success. Pleasure to create a commissioned painting for a recent crowned, gold medalling Olympian.
It was a lot of fun to further embellish a painting, celebrating Joe’s success, following on from his appearance within my Medal Moments mural. Given the variety or sports involved in modern pentathlon, I chose a range of poses for Joe, from across the span. This one was a lot of fun, and to cap it off with meeting the man himself and presenting him with the piece, was the icing on the cake!
