In my opinion one the greatest Barnsley sides in my lifetime. A superb 3-1 victory against Millwall at Wembley Stadium in the league One play off final secured our return to the Championship. Adam Hammill’s wonderful solo effort being the pick of the bunch. You would have to go a long way to find a better individual goal in a play off final at Wembley Stadium. I had the pleasure of meeting Adam and he is super ambassador for Barnsley FC and clearly loves the fans and the club. Got to be one of the greatest ever players to pull on the red shirt. It was a pleasure producing the painting of him and I hope I did his wonder goal justice.
