Belgrave Road, an iconic walk for reds fans especially when you come down the hill and see the famous West Stand with Barnsley FC in view. With this painting I wanted to try and capture the culture of Barnsley and the heritage of the fans walking to the game, showcasing the mining   community that formed the bedrock of Barnsley as a place and the never say die hardworking spirit of the people and its town.
