I’m thrilled to share my experience of live painting on Day 8 of the Paris Olympics. It was a day filled with excitement and pride as Team GB brought home incredible victories. As an artist, capturing these moments on canvas in real time was a truly special experience.
The biggest highlight of the day was the men’s 8 rowing team winning gold. Watching them row with such power and unity was awe-inspiring. I wanted my painting to reflect their strength and the sheer joy of their victory.
The women’s 8 rowing team also had a fantastic day, earning a bronze medal. Their hard work, determination, and teamwork were evident as they crossed the finish line.
Adding to the day’s excitement, our women’s windsurfing specialist Emma Wilson secured a bronze medal. The skill and grace displayed on the water were incredible.
I used platinum and real 24k gold in my paintings to highlight the special nature of these achievements. Each piece is not just a painting but a tribute to the hard work and dedication of our athletes.
I’m excited to announce that Olympic Black is now for sale. A large portion of the proceeds will go to Team GB, supporting our amazing athletes in their future endeavours. By purchasing a painting, you’re not only getting a piece of Olympic history but also helping to support the team.
Thank you for sharing in this journey with me. I hope all my paintings so far bring to life the magic of Day 8 at the Paris Olympics and the pride we all feel for Team GB.
