Once a Red, Always a Red

Ben grew up in Baldock in Hertfordshire, but his roots are firmly in Barnsley and his family are ‘reds’ through and through. The club has been a huge part of his life and he has had a special connection with it since working on a school project about them as a small boy. A huge part of relationship with his Dad, Barnsley FC epitomises Ben’s belief in community values that have been passed down to him through generations of Mosleys.

In August 2018, Ben completed his mural celebrating the history of Barnsley F.C. from 1887 to present day. The mural stretches over 60 metres and is inspired by the Bayeux Tapestry. Black and white figures walk through time taking the viewer through the various events in the club’s history. The mural was hand-painted freehand directly on to the concourse wall widely regarded as the “Ponty End” by the natives. You can see some of Ben’s other work with Barnsley FC here.
