Commissioning a Football or Sports Mural
Ben is available to create bespoke murals for football clubs, stadiums, sports organisations, corporate venues, hotels and public spaces. Each commission is approached individually — from initial concept through to final installation. To discuss a project, including scale, budget and timeline.
Team GB — The Carnaby Street Mural
For the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, Ben painted a 65-metre mural live on Carnaby Street in central London as Team GB athletes competed. The Team GB mural was one of the most prominent pieces of Olympic public art in the UK and was covered by ITV, the BBC and the Evening Standard.
Wembley Stadium Murals
At Wembley Stadium, Ben created two major mural installations. The first is a twelve-canvas sequence connecting the old and new Wembley: six paintings depicting England's 1966 World Cup victory at the original stadium and six celebrating the new Wembley, all linked by a continuous crowd painted across the wall. The second is a Bayeux Tapestry-inspired timeline mural mapping key historic moments at Wembley from 1923 to 2013. Additional paintings by Ben are displayed across the east and west concourses.
The Barnsley FC Mural — 60 Metres at Oakwell Stadium
Ben's most celebrated mural is the 'Ponty End' mural at Oakwell Stadium, the home of Barnsley FC. Stretching 60 metres across the stadium concourse, this football mural celebrates 130 years of the club's history — from the founding in 1887 through the 1912 FA Cup victory to Premier League promotion in 1997. It stands as one of the largest and most detailed football murals in English football and is seen by every supporter who passes through the Ponty End.
