As the Official Artist for Team GB, at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, Ben produced five live paintings, each inspired by the colours of the Olympic Rings — Olympic Blue, Yellow, Black, Green and Red. Each piece told the story of the Olympic Games in Paris from a British perspective, documenting every Team GB medal win through expressive brushwork and a rich sense of storytelling.
For the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, Ben created a monumental 65-metre mural on Carnaby Street in London, painted live in real time as part of the street’s public celebrations. The Team GB mural was painted live in real time as British athletes competed and won medals in Tokyo, transforming Carnaby Street into a living, evolving artwork that grew with every gold, silver and bronze. Dozens of Team GB athletes came to visit Ben while he was painting, and the mural received widespread media coverage including ITV, the BBC and the Evening Standard.
