Ben Mosley
International sports artist Ben Mosley has been appointed Official Artist in Residence for the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games, adding another landmark role to a career that has included appointments as Official Artist for Team GB, The British & Irish Lions, and Club Wembley. As one of the UK’s leading live sports artists, Ben will capture the Games through original, live-painted works created in front of audiences throughout the event.
Commissioned by Trivandi, the official event delivery partner for Glasgow 2026, Ben will create a series of live paintings throughout the Games, documenting the emotion, atmosphere and defining sporting moments as they happen. His appointment reflects a career dedicated to capturing major sporting occasions through expressive painting performed live in front of audiences.
The role began with the unveiling of Ben’s flagship Glasgow 2026 painting at Glasgow’s Gallery of Modern Art (GoMA). Created over three days, the artwork celebrates Glasgow’s architecture, sporting heritage and culture, incorporating iconic landmarks together with every sport and Para sport represented at the Games.
Painted in Ben’s signature expressive style and incorporating real 24 carat gold, the work celebrates the energy of Glasgow and the power of sport to bring people together.
During the Games, Ben will paint live across several venues and fan zones, creating original works inspired by athletes, supporters and defining moments. Each painting will become part of the visual story of Glasgow 2026 — continuing his reputation as one of the country’s most sought-after live sports artists.

The appointment follows Ben’s work as Official Artist for Team GB during the Tokyo and Paris Olympic Games, where he documented medal-winning moments through live painting, and his role as Official Artist for The British & Irish Lions during the 2025 tour of Australia.
These appointments have established Ben as one of Britain’s leading live sports artists, with his paintings held in private and corporate collections around the world. Over the last two decades, his artwork has also helped raise over £3 million for charitable causes.
