Ben Mosley, 39, is one of the official Team GB Artists In Residence for the 2021 Games – and has been kept busy by the impressive medal haul.

“Some days it has been pretty intense,” said Mosley, who worked at the London 2012 games capturing the greats such as Sir Chris Hoy and Sir Mo Farah during the competition.

“But I love it. I am able to show people what I am able to do and art is the best form of visual communication.”

The mural, which is being created on a shop wall in Carnaby Street, will eventually be painted over, which Mosley said “will be hard to watch, I don’t think I will stick around for that.”

However artwork produced by the Team GB Artists In Residence is usually sold to raise funds for new talent coming through the Olympic ranks.

“I am sure Team GB have some ideas,” he said. “The whole point of the art I produce is to be sold to make money to go back to the next generation of potential Team GB stars, so I am sure they have some clever ideas for it.”
