Anybody who has a love of English football will be able to relate to what a great striker Alan Shearer was. My hero growing up as a kid and his famous celebration of one arm in the air was his signature trademark celebration. He was fantastic and he could score a goal from anywhere on the pitch. The best english striker of his generation and I believe the last 30 years. If England could have a young Shearer up front with Rooney today I believe that would be such a potent strike force to fire England to glory.

I was lucky enough to meet Alan Shearer who is extremely funny and complimentary and great company. He has a steely determination to succeed and from meeting him in person demands the highest standards and is a man of principal. The main thing is he has time for you and I was honoured to be able to speak with him and share a joke or two.

The night consisted of me producing a live painting of some world cup legends. George Cohen, Pat Bonner, Alan Shearer, Rob Lee, Ricky Vila were there and I produced a unique one off painting that represented these guys being at the world cup in their heyday.
