At the 2012 Summer Olympics, Etienne Stott and partner Timothy Baillie qualified through the heats and semi-final to reach the final of the C-2 event. In front of a 12,000 strong home crowd at the Lee Valley White Water Centre, Stott and Baillie won the gold medal for TEAM GB.
To commemorate this outstanding victory, Etienne commissioned Ben to produce a painting for his C-2 partner Tim Baillie on one of their replica oars. One side of the oar shows their historic win, whilst the other side shows a scene commemorating the drama and spectacle of the London Olympics.
Ben has worked with Team GB on a number of other projects, including; The Olympic Mural and London Olympics 2012.
