An question often asked of Ben is, ‘what’s it like to be a professional artist?’. Through ‘Under the Paint’ you’ll get just a small taste of what it takes and what goes on behind the scenes.
This short film follows Ben’s return to live painting, a big part of his professional focus, after a forced 3 year – pandemic-induced – hiatus. Recorded over the course of a day in May 2022, the film follows Ben throughout the setup, execution and wind down of a big live painting event.
