A Great year so far

Bear with me, I’ve been super busy which I’m really grateful for so there are many things to post and update you on from the last 6 months! 7 live paintings in 3 countries!

Mike, The Coronation and Golf Day!!

Ive always enjoyed painting for Mike and Zara Tindall and I hope I can call them friends of mine. I’m thrilled that they have two paintings of mine in their private collection and whenever I am asked to live paint for Mike at his celebrity golf day, I’m thrilled to take the opportunity to do so. Mike and Zara are lovely people and always look after me!! Its a real pleasure to have created this special piece that celebrates three big things, The coronation, the Rugby 2003 tribute and also Mikes 10 year anniversary. Thanks for having me Mike, always a pleasure!!

Live and Let Veela

It was terrific to paint live on Veela Private Island – An island of luxury and quality, with amazing food and panoramic 360 degrees island views of clear blue sea. I was tasked with a painting celebrating the new wellbeing village, so I went for a stained glass window effect where I could get different elements of island in the piece. Almost a cubist effect. It was a superb experience and delighted to have created this piece of unique art for the island in an exotic part of the world!!

Riding High at the OXO

Was absolutely amazing to paint live at Jackson Wrays Testimonial at the OXO tower!! What a view!! Cracking event and the painting was purchased by Mr Nigel Wray who know owns more of my paintings then anyone!! Simply one of the best views in London!! Love the Southbank!!! Painted in the Saracens colours, this special piece commemorates the three European cups Jackson Wray has won playing for them. Currently on display at the Stone X stadium!!

A Tale of Two Brain Games

Brilliant to paint live for Marie Curie at the London and house builder brain games earlier this year. Have always really enjoyed supporting Marie Curie and this year was my 10th year of painting live for them. Paul Healey is a very wonderful gentleman and I love supporting his passion and enthusiasm. Two paintings sold for 65k. Not a bad couple of evenings. Was great to see some big celebs on the night as well!

Wiggle it Just A Little Bit

Rugby has certainly been a big theme for me this year and I’ve really enjoyed creating works celebrating various players and their testimonials!! Richard Wigglesworth was a sound gentleman and the only rugby union player to win 7 premiership titles!! The legendary Nigel Wray ended up purchasing my piece of Twickenham where the painting was set, which had various different references to Richards glittering career and trophy wins. This piece was created in front of a live audience.

Ed The Hero!!

Was an absolute pleasure to meet Ed Slater who played as lock for Gloucester and Leicester Tigers! Ed is fighting MND, and is one of kindest nicest bravest gents I’ve met in all my time doing the live painting. He’s got a beautiful family and I was privileged to create a piece life at Cheltenham Racecourse that celebrated his career merged with a tribute to the rugby World Cup boys of 2003. Team Spirit is a piece that I have concentrated on depicting over the last 20 years and shows people huddled together in a circle. The power of sport to unify people and bring them together is very special which Is why I love to paint about it so much.

8 Rocks with Lawrence Dallaglio

Was great to support Lawrence Dallaglio and create a special 2003 world Cup winning Rugby themed tribute piece for his foundation, really enjoyed meeting Lawrence!! Still remember Jonny Wilkinsons last minute kick as if it was yesterday!! Great result tasing 35k! for Lawrence’s charity!! I always love using 24k Gold which has become a bit of a trade mark for me!!

Good Morning Paddington!!!

Good Morning Paddington!! It was great to go out to Dubai in early February to produce a painting of Paddington bear for Ashley Ward and Dawn Ward. Standing at 6ft tall and 3ft wide, the background is completely 24k gold! A British icon and much loved bear Paddington Bear made a great subject matter and with being Team GB artist was great fun to create!!
