Eight. Eight Olympic medals in a single day. What an incredible result for Team GB, surely their most successful single day in history!? Just astounding.

I think it’s fair to say, that left me under a bit of pressure… 10 and a half hours of painting and, finally, I managed to fulfil the task – and the challenge – set by the Olympians. In case you missed it, and in no particular order, the results from the day:

Sailing (Nacra Foil) – John Gimson & Anna Burnet – SILVER
Womens Team Pursuit Cycling – Katie Archibal, Laura Kenny, Neah Evans, Josie Knight – SILVER
Mens Team Sprint Cycling – Jason Kenny, Jack Carlin & Ryan Owens – SILVER
3m Springboard Diving – Jack Laugher – BRONZE
Mens Boxing – Pat McCormack – SILVER
Womens 800m – Keely Hodgkinson – SILVER

And this was the day that the second wall neared it’s completion. I’ve had to make use of the bottom wall, in order to get everyone in! A true testament to the incredible athletes – and their performances – that I’m now in a position whereby I’m having to be mildly concerned about space, with 4 days still to come… Eeek
