Meydan is a Horse Racing event held on Thursdays in Dubai, attracting spectators from across the country. Ben was given the opportunity to paint live at Meydan Racecourse in one of the world’s most spectacular Horse Racing arenas. Painting in front of 20,000 people, he captured Team Godolphin’s Certify winning the Cape Verde Group 2 race.

Painting in the Meydan parade ring, Ben likened the crowd noise and atmosphere to being at a football match. He had already painted for ten hours in 30C at a golf event earlier in the day, but despite the heat, he thrived on the intensity and the pressure. In addition to Meydan, he was commissioned to create a triptych of paintings for international polo player Ali Albawardy.
